I Wish the World could hear my Plea

I wish the world could hear my plea

To stop the violence that is killing me

Me as in soldiers persecuted by senseless wars

Belittling our significance in today’s troubled world

A world free of racism

What a wonderful thought

Smashed by pure ignorance

Just look at the results

A nation of adults

We are supposed to be rational

But instead bicker and whine over simple skin color

Hear my plea my fellow citizens

That if we continue this innate stupidity

From within we will be destroyed

Not Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, Communist, Liberal, Republican or Democrat

We are one of many

A blending of colors

A melting pot of cultures

Great nations split and skewed

By senseless ignorance and increased arrogance

I wish the world could hear my plea

To stop this violence that is killing me

Without My Father

By: Tony L. Jefferson, Jr.

Who is this stranger that speaks to me?

He’s but another face in the crowd

A scar to me on humanity

It’s been years void of your love and affection

Lucid dreams of my father

What is he like? What did he do?

But violence consumed you

Liquid spirits consumed your thoughts

Influenced by powered demons up your nose

I speak to you today

A better man

A righteous man

Hunted by the ghost of the past

Hardened by the absence of your fatherly strength

You disappeared from our life

From me

From us

Was it tough times?

Young making difficult decisions

Your thoughts unclear

You attacked us

You hurt me

For years I cried for my fathers love

For years I ached for your acceptance

For years a young child needed the answers to a million questions

Over time my demons have passed

I have learned

I have matured

I have loved

I have forgiven

All without my father

Angry Mindset

By: Tony L. Jefferson, Jr.

Anger builds

Tension rises

Emotions flare

My thoughts turn sinister and visions of evil play scenes in my mind

 Everyone’s a fucking target

Everyone gets what’s coming to them

Violence overtakes my body

I become its tool of destruction

Feeding off of the energies of the weak and pitiful

Fuck them all and fuck them twice

The devil has come to roost and I’m bringing my all

I strike all that oppose me and bring ill will to all

I am the bearer of bad news
the angel of deceit

The spoiler of the good life

My goal in the world is simple

To make each and every person miserable

Make them feel horrible

Depressed

Hopeless

I will do whatever it takes at whatever the cost

 Fuck the Good Samaritan

I’ll leave your ass to die

I’ll kick sand in your teeth

My boiling point has been exceeded

I enjoy your suffering

You are dirt under my feet

Something to be pitied

 Blood is rushing

Hormones are jumping

Adrenaline is pumping

I want to turn your smile upside down

I want to make your day the worse ever

Domestically Unstable

By: Tony L. Jefferson, Jr.

His temper rages

He is unaffected by the love show in your eyes

This hurt you’ve felt many times before

His words always spiteful, his eyes always cold

Where did your love go wrong?

That nice gentleman he use to be

His love use to sweep you off your feet

The love so passionate and true has with time turned sour

He hits you and the pain, isn’t just physical

You feel it deep in your heart

How could someone that claims to love you hit you like this?

When will it end?

You sleep with one eye open

For fear that you won’t see the light of day

Why do I stay you ask

His words brings you back

Promises of positive things and better days

It’s an offer you can’t refuse

His rage is random and uncontrollable

What did you do to deserve this?

The physical abuse is unbearable

You take it, because in your mind you have nowhere to go and no one to turn to

The mental abuse leaves you emotionally drained and cold to any regular feeling

His words cut like a knife

The things he says are beyond hurtful

In the public eye

It’s obvious the change in your heart

You attempt to hide your scars

Your friends give you knowing looks

You pretend to be happy around your family

Deep inside you know something has to be done, but your mind is a mass of confusion

You contemplate killing yourself, but what would it accomplish

Your mind turns to your family and friends

Your no longer in this world as your mind wanders

You have become accustomed to this

A slap brings you back to the reality of it all

Fight back

Get help

Get away

Before the blood flows

Before you’ve breathed your last breath

This isn’t love

This isn’t the end of the world

Feel my words

Feel real love

Feel affection

BREAK THE CYCLE
